Jade had a dream: 
to become a painter.

Robert, an astrophysicist, had a dream: 
to study Halley’s comet, due to be seen from Earth in 1986.

What begins as the briefest of encounters at London’s Waterloo railway station in the summer of 1980, turns into a love affair as Robert introduces Jade to the marvels of planets and comets and invites her to sail with him in the Bahamas. The trip will change Jade’s life and her dreams, until the arrival of another comet, the Hale Bopp, in 1997.

If a comet can orbit twice in a lifetime, can a man and a woman’s love do the same?
